REDDING, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management will host four public meetings to provide forums for the public to learn more about the draft northwest California resource management plan and environmental impact statement, announced in late September, and have questions about the draft plan and environmental analysis answered.
In addition to the two virtual and two in-person meetings, the BLM is providing a web-based, interactive story map to help the public understand how the proposed plan addresses specific public land and natural resource topics.
The current meeting schedule is:
- Virtual meeting on Monday, Oct. 23, 6 to 8 p.m. PST: Register via Zoom.
- Lolita, Calif. on Monday, Oct. 30, 6 to 8 p.m. PST: Bear River Community Center, Tish Non Room, 266 Keisner Road
- Redding, Calif. on Thursday, Nov. 2, 6 to 8 p.m. PST: Sheraton Hotel at the Sundial Bridge, Ballroom A, 820 Sundial Bridge Drive
- Virtual on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1 to 3 p.m. PST: Register via Zoom.
Each meeting will include an informational presentation and an open house format in which participants can meet with BLM specialists to discuss the topics of interest.
