A mom in St. Louis returning home from a trip to a beauty store reportedly walked into her apartment to find her 9-month-old daughter and the baby’s father both dead in a “senseless” murder-suicide, according to police and loved ones.

“It’s not something I can unsee,” Micah Lawery, mother of Ophelia Lawery-Daniels, told local CBS affiliate KSDK last week about walking in and discovering her daughter’s lifeless body next to the child’s father, Zacchaeus Daniels, 21, after he took Ophelia’s life and his own on Feb. 28, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Authorities announced Thursday that they were investigating the incident as a murder-suicide.

“Something that is burned into my brain,” Lawery said.  “I don’t need to close my eyes to see it.”

The firm grip of horror took hold of multiple Wyoming families after a mother shot her four daughters before turning the gun on herself.

Midafternoon on Monday, Tranyelle Harshman, 32, called 911 to report the gunshots she fired at her own home on East Shoshone Avenue in Byron — a tiny town located roughly 415 miles northwest of Cheyenne — and some 90 miles due south of Billings, Montana.

The woman went on to report that her daughters had been shot, according to a press release issued by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office.

“When dispatchers asked the status of the gunshot victims the female stated that she believed them to be deceased,” the sheriff’s office said.

Torment abounds in a Kentucky murder-suicide that took the life of a recently-married woman from Wisconsin earlier this month.

Jessica Hager, 40, a mother of four, was shot and killed at her new home during the early morning hours on Oct. 5, according to a terse press release issued by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

The killer is said to have been a friend of the family’s — a man who dated the victim’s sister-in-law in an on-again, off-again relationship.

David Hager, the slain woman’s husband of three months, said the killer was a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps who suffered from mental health issues and publicly discussed his problems online.

In what is Hawaii‘s most devastating mass killing since 1999, a local man stabbed his wife and their three children to death at their home, say cops in the city of Honolulu.

Officers did not name the people involved, but neighbors reportedly named the suspect as chiropractor Paris Oda, and his wife as Naoko Oda.

They lived in the second-floor unit of a home in the Manoa neighborhood, according to Hawaii ABC affiliate KITV. The downstairs neighbors of the home had reportedly left for Japan on Saturday.
