Florida woman allegedly filmed sex act with dog for money

A Florida woman was recently arrested after she allegedly sexually abused her Chihuahua on video for profit, police in the Sunshine State say.

Logan Nichole Guminski, stands accused of one count each of sexual activity involving an animal and filming sexual activity involving an animal, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says they learned of the crime on Jan. 28, when a detective who works with the major crimes unit received an “anonymous tip” that the defendant “posted a video to Instagram depicting sexual activity with a dog,” according to a press release.

The unidentified tipster apparently included a 32-second-long video clip of the offending incident in question. An arrest report contains a detailed and graphic account of what occurred in the video between a “small brown and white” Chihuahua and a woman whose face cannot be seen.

An investigation into the defendant’s Instagram account ensued.

Authorities allege the account owner, through dozens of pictures, appears to have “a body physique similar to the body shown in the video submitted in the tip in reference to skin tone, weight and stature.” Additionally, the affidavit alleges “the defendant has several photographs and videos that depict her with a small brown dog, possibly a chihuahua, that is identical to the one in the video.”

The affidavit describes the dog in depth.

“This dog is small and light brown, with large brown ears, a white line going down the middle of his head, a white belly and white fur that extends halfway up the dog’s legs,” Detective Jordyn Batt writes. “I confirmed that the dog in the video has all these same characteristics. I also located a photograph posted on April 5, 2024, that depicts the defendant with the same dog, that is wearing the same dark colored collar that is depicted in the video.

The tipster and detective later spoke on the phone, according to the affidavit. During their conversation, the witness described the video using colloquial terms for oral sex, said Guminski has the same kind of manicure as the woman in the video, and referenced another Instagram post in which the defendant’s ex-boyfriend took a screenshot of the video to call Guminski “disgusting.”

Both the video and the ensuing post had since been deleted, the witness told the detective. But, the witness added, they had screenshots.

On March 21, Guminski spoke with two detectives and allegedly admitted to performing sex acts with two different dogs for money.

“The defendant admitted that she is a ‘content creator,’ which she described as her utilizing the Fansly platform to sell photographs and videos of herself in the nude, depicting different sexual acts to users on the internet,” the affidavit reads. “The defendant admitted to taking the video of her engaging in a sexual act with her dog, ‘Princeton,’ which she described as a brown and white Chihuahua.”

For the first video, Guminski allegedly admitted, she was paid $500 by a Snapchat user. The second video allegedly involved a yellow Labrador named “Rosie.” The affidavit does not contain additional details about the second video.

The defendant allegedly admitted both videos were still on her iPhone at the time she spoke with law enforcement, the affidavit claims.

Guminski was arrested shortly after speaking with detectives. She was released the next day after posting $10,000 bond, jail records show.

The defendant is currently slated to be arraigned on April 22.

“Unfortunately this isn’t my first case of this nature,” Batts told Gainesville-based ABC and The CW affiliate WCJB. “It’s always shocking, it’ll never not be shocking especially when you have to watch the video but I have seen it before so it’s not out of the ordinary unfortunately.”

Florida woman allegedly used dog to attack investigators

A Florida woman is behind bars after stealing electricity and siccing her large dog on utility workers who confronted her, according to law enforcement in the Sunshine State.

Tiffany Perkins, 28, stands accused of myriad crimes including one count each of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, creating or maintaining a nuisance, keeping a nuisance, larceny related to a utility, grand theft, animal cruelty, burning unpermitted materials, operating an unpermitted landfill, misusing the 911 system, resisting an officer with violence, resisting without violence, as well as two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

The incident occurred Feb. 25 at a residence on Sugar Pine Loop in Lake Wales – a medium-sized city in central Florida, according to a press release issued by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy arrived at the home late in the morning in response to a call from two Duke Energy workers, the sheriff’s office said.

The energy company’s employees were at Perkins’ residence to investigate what appeared to be possible theft of utilities, according to law enforcement.

The defendant allegedly did not appreciate the inquiry.

“Tiffany released her dogs at them,” the sheriff’s office wrote in the press release – alleging Perkins used her dogs to attack the utility workers.

After the deputy arrived and began to speak with her, however, Perkins allegedly called 911 herself.

“As the deputy moved toward Tiffany to arrest her, he was attacked by a Great Dane, causing injury to his arm and eye,” the sheriff’s office alleged.

Later, additional deputies arrived.

The defendant allegedly continued to resist arrest, however, and was subsequently Tasered, according to law enforcement sources cited by Tampa-based Fox affiliate WTVT.

Eventually, Perkins was taken into custody.

“The investigation determined that Tiffany was indeed stealing electricity from Duke Energy after they had cut the power from her home,” the sheriff’s office press release continues. “Animal Control responded and recovered a second Great Dane that was in extremely poor health. Both Great Danes were removed from the property.”

The defendant was also charged with improper waste tire disposal, having an open septic tank, and trespass that does not involve a structure or a conveyance.

Perkins is currently being detained in the Polk County Jail on a combined $48,500 bond, sheriff’s office records show.

Barking dog ‘alerted’ mom to alleged kidnapper in yard: Cops

A Florida man allegedly attempted to kidnap a 2-year-old boy from the backyard of his home, but was thwarted when the family dog loudly announced his presence.

Ron Lee Klein Jr., 36, was found by St. Petersburg police who happened to be in the area not long after his alleged attempt to kidnap the toddler on Dec. 27. According to the arrest affidavit, Klein allegedly entered the private, fenced-in backyard of a home in St. Petersburg through the gate. Police said he then allegedly tried to grab the little boy, but the family dog who witnessed the trespasser started barking loudly, letting the boy’s foster mother know that there was something going on.

The boy’s foster mother, who was not identified in the affidavit, followed the dog’s barks and witnessed Klein in her backyard. She started chasing Klein and yelling at him, at which point he fled without the child. The affidavit stated that Klein allegedly “grabbed” the toddler by the arm and tried picking him up, but stopped what he was doing when the dog “alerted” the boy’s foster mother.

The affidavit stated that Klein admitted to entering the property. He was also caught on surveillance cameras entering the property.

Klein was charged with a felony count of attempted kidnapping and a misdemeanor count of trespassing. He appeared in court on Dec. 29 and is being held on $151,000 bail. No new court date was available.

According to court records, Klein has a lengthy history of arrests going back to 2007, the most recent one being in May 2023. He was charged with trespassing at that time along with resisting an officer with violence and battery of a police officer. He pleaded recently guilty to those charges and was sentenced to time served.

Mom allegedly left toddler home alone for out-of-town date

A Texas woman was recently arrested after she intentionally left her 16-month-old child alone to travel out-of-town to visit a man she met on a dating app, Lone Star State law enforcement say.

Reese Louise Myers, 25, stands accused of one count of abandoning or endangering a child, according to the Killeen Police Department.

The incident in question dates back to the middle of this past summer; the defendant was finally arrested near the small city of Barstow in the Inland Empire region of Southern California on a fugitive warrant earlier this month. She just made her way back to Texas this week.

Late in the morning of July 28, police were called to an apartment on West Hallmark Avenue in Killeen – a large city roughly 70 miles due north of Austin – to check on the welfare of a child, a spokesperson for the Killeen Police Department told Law&Crime.

“Officers were told that a child was hanging out near a broken window and an aggressive dog was trying to attack the child,” the department said in a statement. “Upon the officers arrival, they observed a child protruding from the window that was repaired with a plexiglass sheeting and cardboard. It was not shattered.”

Inside the apartment, the child was found alone, wearing a T-shirt “and nothing else,” police allege. The toddler also allegedly had feces on their skin and visible signs of diaper rash.

“Officers conducted a sweep of the apartment and it showed the child was alone, with the exception of two dogs,” the police department’s account of the search continued. “Officers contacted the mother of the child, who advised that she was currently in San Antonio and had been there since the day before.”

San Antonio is roughly 160 miles south-southwest Killeen.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital and then placed in the custody of state Child Protective Services.

When police called Myers, she allegedly said she had traveled to the Alamo City to visit a man she met on Hinge, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Waco-based Fox affiliate KWKT.

The mother allegedly went on to tell police that she left her child with a babysitter she met on Facebook. So, police followed up to see what the alleged babysitter had to say about the situation.

“Officers then made contact with the babysitter, who advised she had previously babysat for the suspect last year in December and hadn’t spoken to her since,” the police narrative continues. “She showed officers her Facebook messages and there were no messages after December 2023.”

Law enforcement also said the house itself was laid out and set up in such a way to suggest Myers intended to leave her son alone.

Precautions are said to have been obvious and included most doors closed off, a baby gate blocking the kitchen area, the deadbolt on the door locked, and every other window locked and shut – except the apparently makeshift-closed one the boy was seen hanging out of.

“Officers told the mother to return to Killeen,” the police department said.

That request was allegedly not obliged. Myers was arrested on Nov. 5 by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.

Arrest records in the Golden State say the defendant was taken into custody somewhere on the expansive Fort Irwin Army Base – which is roughly 1,365 miles away from Killeen.

Myers was released from custody in California on Tuesday and arrested by the Killeen Police Department that same day.

Haitian group case against Trump runs into First Amendment

A panel of judges on a local Ohio court has not only declined to issue arrest warrants for Donald Trump and JD Vance over “eating the cats” rhetoric directed at Haitian immigrants, but also stated flatly the nonprofit group accusing the Republican ticket of political speech crimes did not establish probable cause in an affidavit that may not have been filed in “good faith.”

The en banc Clark County Municipal Court’s ruling on Friday included a majority opinion and a concurrence concluding that the Haitian Bridge Alliance, the group’s executive director Guerline Jozef, and lead attorney Subodh Chandra ran into a brick wall — the First Amendment — and were only entitled to a referral to the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney, meaning prosecutors, not a court fielding a citizen affidavit, will have to decide “whether any prosecution is warranted.”

As Law&Crime has reported on the case, the Haitian Bridge Alliance reacted to Trump and Vance perpetuating the “false and dangerous narrative” through “unrelenting lies” that Haitian immigrants in the U.S. legally on a temporary basis have been “eating the cats,” dogs, and pets of people in Springfield by accusing them of several misdemeanors, later adding a felony “inducing panic” claim. In sum total, the group alleged that Trump and Vance “knew what they were doing” when they “relentlessly made false alarms, disrupted public services, and induced panic” just to “create stories” about immigrants eating pets in the lead-up to the 2024 election — even as Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) and other officials said there was “no evidence” of that.

The opinion of the court largely focused on the First Amendment and existing precedent as the key obstacle to the failed attempt at establishing probable cause.

“All of the conduct alleged in the Affidavit centers around the statements made by either Donald Trump or JD Vance. Freedom of speech is among our most precious and protected constitutional rights. It is enshrined in the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution,” the decision said. “Indeed, the United States and Ohio Supreme Courts have recognized the importance of speech, even when it stirs people to anger.”

“Although all speech does not have absolute constitutional protection,” the court continued, “the strict scrutiny analysis of any criminalization of speech, requires thorough and extensive investigation before any charges would be pursued.”

While the opinion of the court didn’t go so far as to say the affidavit wasn’t brought in “good faith,” it did raise questions about the timing of the accusations — with the “presidential election […] less than 35 day away” and “contentiousness concerning the immigration policies of both candidates” — and said the court couldn’t “automatically presume the good faith nature of the Affidavits.”

“That is not to say that the Affiant [Jozef] does not believe what she is alleging is true, but rather, whether the conclusions the Affiant reaches — that being that Donald Trump and JD Vance’s political speech constitute the alleged crimes — could be influenced by her personal experiences, as opposed to an objective analysis of the alleged speech, the constitutional protections afforded to that speech, the alleged conduct occurring within the community, and claimed nexus between the speech and that conduct,” the en banc court added.

All told, the majority agreed with a concurrence penned by Judge Stephen Schumaker that it’s up to prosecutors to make a decision “with particular consideration to be given to the strong constitutional protections afforded to speech and political speech in particular.”

The concurrence went further in dismantling the theory of the case, first drawing a distinction between falsehoods and “proving a negative” — referring to public officials’ statements that there was “no evidence” to support the pet-eating claims.

“There is nothing in the reported statements by the officials that, on the basis of the record before the court, would justify any opinion that the statements at issue are false just that they cannot be verified as true,” Schumaker said.

From there, he pushed back on claims that JD Vance’s “create stories” remark on CNN was no different from admitting he was “just making harmful statements up” out of thin air — calling that a “significant mischaracterization of the evidence submitted to the court.”

The concurrence additionally said the affidavit did not establish probable cause when attempting to trace Trump and Vance’s statements to 33 hoax bomb threats that followed, warning of the potential implications for American law by referencing President Joe Biden’s “time to put Trump in a bullseye” remark before the attempted assassination of Trump in Pennsylvania and the congressional baseball practice shooting carried out by a Sen. Bernie Sanders supporter and campaign volunteer in 2017.

“This court strongly believes that President Biden and Senator Sanders did not cause those events,” Schumaker wrote. “The Court finds that […] probable cause DOES NOT EXIST candor is not meritorious as to the charges the Affiant is requesting to be filed against former President Trump and Senator Vance.”

Going further than the court’s majority, Schumaker said “glaring deficiencies” in the affidavit made it reasonable to conclude the case may not have been brought in “good faith.”

“The Court has pointed out what the Court believes to be glaring deficiencies in the requested charges. Counsel states ‘Further investigation is neither needed nor requested.’ The Court respectfully could not disagree more,” the concurrence sad. “The Court finds […] that this Judge ‘has reason to believe that it (the requested action) was not filed in good faith”” and “is ‘not meritorious.’”

In response to the decision, attorney Chandra said he was “disappointed” by the court’s “deeply flawed” opinions.

“It’s hard for the Bridge to believe there’s equal justice under law when Trump and Vance are afforded special treatment—even a special process—that no one else who had wreaked such havoc would enjoy,” Chandra said. “Everyone knows that if you substituted any other names for ‘Trump’ and ‘Vance’ who had inflicted such severe harm on the community with false alarms, by inducing panic, and by disrupting public services, those individuals would’ve been charged by now. Ohio law we presented shows that.”

Woman accused in crash that killed woman, dog: Cops

A Michigan woman faces charges in a crash at nearly 100 mph in a 45 mph zone that killed a 22-year-old woman and her dog and critically injured her boyfriend during a Thanksgiving holiday visit with family.

Nyra Whitelow, 23, is accused in the crash that killed Audrey Hensley. She faces charges of second-degree murder and reckless driving, causing serious impairment of body function. She was free on a $50,000 bond with a court date set for April 26, online court records show.

“There is tremendous loss, for the loved ones, the family there is loss to the community,” Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting said, local CBS affiliate WWMT reported. “We end up charging reckless driving causing serious injury, but that hardly seems sufficient when someone has had these life-altering injuries and is going to be dealing with the impact not for just the next few months but for the rest of their lives. Not only are they doing something that they know or should know is dangerous for someone else … but it’s so dangerous that the likelihood of those actions is that someone is going to be severely hurt or killed.”

The three-vehicle crash happened on Nov. 24, 2023, in Kalamazoo, in southwest Michigan. Whitelow’s Dodge Charger attained speeds of nearly 100 mph within five seconds of the crash and slowed to 86 mph just before impact, local MLive Media Group news outlet reported, citing a probable cause affidavit by Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Detective Tim Knight.

“Upon an interview with the at-fault driver Nyra Whitelow, she informed she was running late to drop off items to a friend at Bronson Hospital, which was why she was speeding,” a detective wrote in the document, the news outlet reported.

The officer wrote the defendant “disregarded everyone else’s safety” by traveling at an “extremely excessive speed.”

Hensley graduated from Michigan State University and was working to get her master’s degree in dietetics at Ball State University at the time of her death, her obituary said.

“We were blessed to have spent a wonderful Thanksgiving with them and we will cherish that last holiday with her forever,” her mother wrote on Facebook, accompanying the last picture they took together from a walk on Thanksgiving morning and the family Christmas tree. “Our tree can flip to colored lights with the push of a button,” her mother wrote. “Right before Audrey and Gavin left yesterday she flipped it to colored to see if I would notice. 30 minutes later she was gone. 30 minutes. I noticed, baby girl, and I’m leaving them. Maybe forever. Mommy loves you, Audrey, and I’ll miss you until we meet again.”

Jail guard harassed neighbors, brought up his job: Police

A jail guard in Missouri is accused of harassing a neighbor, going as far as to bring up his own job and sic his dog on the man.

Bjorn J. Stotser, 40, is charged with two counts of second-degree harassment, fourth-degree assault, and resisting arrest, according to CBS St. Louis affiliate KMOV.

Cops in St. Charles, Missouri, claim that a neighbor at an apartment complex in the 800 block of Park Court said that he was cleaning out his van Tuesday. That’s when Stoster went up to him with a husky-type dog in tow.

“Do you know who I am?” the defendant allegedly said.

The victim said no. Stotser allegedly allegedly described himself as a corrections officer and the canine was a drug-sniffing dog, the latter of which was false.

After Stotser asked if the neighbor had drugs in the vehicle, the neighbor said for him to look, police said. But when Stotser allegedly threatened to call the cops if the neighbor did not leave the complex.

The victim demanded that he not speak to him that way, and Stotser answered by charging at him, with the dog also jumping on him aggressively, police reportedly said.

Cops said that Stotser denied the allegation to them at his apartment, but officers were later dispatched to the same complex because he allegedly got in a woman’s face, cursing at her for contacting police in the first place.

Stotser is also accused of telling someone ‘What are you going to do about it?’ and chest bumping them after they told him to leave the office, cops said.

Stoster is on administrative leave and held at the Warren County Jail, St. Charles County Department of Corrections Director Daniel Keen told KMOV.

“You are correct, a corrections employee was arrested while off duty for his misconduct in public,” he said.

Babysitter killed family’s dog in front of child: Cops

An 18-year-old babysitter in Wisconsin was arrested after being accused of killing the family’s dog in front of the 4-year-old child she was watching, allegedly stabbing the small chihuahua and then placing a plastic bag over its head. Kielee Sonnemann was taken into custody on Monday and charged with one count of mistreatment of animals causing death using a dangerous weapon, court records reviewed by Law&Crime show.

According to a press release from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, deputies on Friday, Jan. 26 responded to a call regarding a family dog that was found deceased inside of a residence located in the Village of Sussex, which is about 20 miles northwest of Milwaukee.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders said they observed the deceased dog, named “Batman,” to have “injuries consistent with a stab wound.” Additionally, deputies said they observed that “a plastic bag had been placed over the dog’s head.”

“The family had a babysitter at the home on January 25th and suspected she had killed the dog, Batman, an 8-year-old Chihuahua,” the release states.

The babysitter — identified as Sonnemann — was subsequently interviewed by police and arrested for allegedly killing the animal.

“While the victims of this incident grieve the loss of a beloved family pet, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department fully recognizes the severity of this crime,” Lt. Nicholas Wenzel from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department in its news release.

The family provided additional details in an interview with Milwaukee NBC affiliate WTMJ.

According to the report, the family told the station that their 4-year-old daughter was the one who discovered the dog dead underneath a pile of blood-soaked blankets.

During her police interview, Sonnemann did not confess to any specific wrongdoing, but did say that she “shooed” the dog away “a little bit.” Sonnemann also reportedly told police that “when she gets mad and lashes out, everything goes blank” and that she “does not remember” what happened that evening.

As Sonnemann discussed the situation longer, she reportedly told police that “there was a lot of drama going on” and that, in regards to Batman’s death, “It’s kind of sounding like I did it.”

Prosecutors on Monday reportedly reiterated that there is evidence that Sonnemann actually killed Batman in front of the young daughter.

“There’s at least some suggestion that this was a crime of violence perpetrated in the presence of a 4-year-old child. The crime itself is very disturbing,” Waukesha County District Attorney Susan Opper said the proceeding, per WTMJ.

Sonnemann is facing a maximum sentence of four years in prison if convicted.

A woman terrorized her ex-boyfriend, first by throwing around his clothes during an argument, then stopping him from leaving her apartment, choking him with his gold chain, demanding that he hit her so that she have bruises, and finally, siccing her pit bull “Wasabi” on him to bloody effect, according to authorities in Florida.

Jennifer Estella Flores, 34, was locked up at the Flagler County Jail on Monday.

Partially redacted affidavits viewed by Law&Crime claim that an officer was performing speed enforcement in the 4600 block of E. Moody Blvd. at approximately 12:36 a.m.

The victim — covered in blood and “deep laceration marks” on both forearms — parked his car next to the officer, stepped out, and ran for the patrol vehicle. He told the deputy his ex-girlfriend had her dog attack him in her nearby apartment.

According to documents, the man said that Flores, his ex, contacted him earlier in the day to come over. They were no longer in a relationship, having been together for eight years and “lived together as a family unit approximately 3 years ago,” but they still “mess around” in a sexual manner, state records.

This time, however, things took a turn for the violent.

“He stated that Jennifer was ‘drunk’ and kept bringing up his other relationships as she got on top of him, straddling him in the bed,” authorities wrote. “During the verbal argument, she got off him, picking up his clothes from the floor and threw them into her bathroom.”

The man went to grab his things so he could leave, but the defendant allegedly prevented him from going, and she choked him with the gold chain around his neck.

Flores allegedly backed off and took off her shirt.

“[The ex-boyfriend] stated that she told him to hit her so she could have bruises also,” deputies wrote.

Grabbing his clothes with one hand, and shoving her to the side with the other, he tried to exit, according to an affidavit.

“[The man] then stated Jennifer told her dog, a black Pitbull named ‘Wasabi’ to ‘get him,”” documents stated.

She allegedly grabbed the man, and the pit bull began attacking his arms and legs, leaving a lot of blood in the living room.

The victim said he could not feel his arm because of the dog attack. He could not write a statement because of his injuries.

Law enforcement described a contentious scenario as they arrived at Flores’ nearby apartment. First, she exited, then returned again, and did not answer as they announced themselves. There remained no answer even after a deputy tried to make contact through the sliding glass door in the back.

“Jennifer eventually came to the front door only covered in a blue blanket,” they wrote. “Jennifer was extremely argumentative and kept talking over law enforcement.”

She allegedly mentioned she was drinking.

As authorities tried to tell her why they were there, she refused to talk and tried to walk back inside, according to documents. An officer stopped her by grabbing her arm, they said.

Authorities tried to have her put her clothes on, but she kept speaking over them, documents said.

She finally denied touching her ex, and she kept interrupting the official trying to read her Miranda rights, they wrote.

Flores allegedly did not quit talking even after they turned her over to jail deputies.

Investigators claimed to find blood spatter all over the bottom of the front door. There was also blood on the living room floor and rubbing alcohol near the blood. A black pit bull was locked in a cage near the front door.

She is held on a $50,000 bond, charged with a total of three counts of false imprisonment and count each of domestic – aggravated battery and domestic – aggravated strangulation. Two of those false imprisonment counts are from her allegedly locking two people, including her son, in a bathroom amid law enforcement responding to the apartment.
